Since October 7th, something has shifted in the landscape of Jewish friendship.
People we trusted went silent. People we loved revealed they could not hold our grief.
This course is for everyone who is still sitting with that loss — and ready to understand it.
You are not grieving too much.
The pain of losing a friendship to antisemitism or indifference is real. It is not a political sensitivity or an overreaction. From a nervous system perspective, it is a relational emergency, a threat signal arriving from inside the safe zone.
Many Jewish people have been carrying two griefs simultaneously: the collective weight of October 7th, and the private devastation of watching friendships fracture along lines they never expected. This course holds both.Â
This course gives you language, neuroscience, Jewish wisdom, and somatic tools to understand what happened — in your relationships and in your body — and to find your way toward new belonging.

 ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR DEBORAH BAGG
A somatic psychotherapist. A Jewish woman. Someone who has lived this.
I have been a somatic psychotherapist and LMHC for over twenty years, trained at Naropa in Boulder, Colorado. I am also a yoga teacher, psychoeducator, and a Jewish woman who has been navigating these exact ruptures alongside my community.
This course was originally created as a series on friendship, depth, and healthy attachment. It has been redesigned from the ground up in the aftermath of October 7th — because the Jewish community's experience of friendship rupture deserves its own space, its own language, and its own healing.
Friendship is a core part of my identity. This series is both professional and deeply personal.
